Organic Meat Company Becomes First Pakistani Meat Exporter to Directly Supply to Carrefour UAE

Organic Meat Company

The Organic Meat Company Limited (TOMCL) has become the first Pakistani meat processing and exporting firm to qualify for direct exports to Carrefour UAE, operated by Majid Al-Futtaim Hypermarket LLC.

This milestone follows TOMCL’s successful completion of Carrefour’s rigorous Systems, Hygiene, and Operational Excellence Audit, in which it secured a score of 94.89 percent. The audit assessed full compliance with international standards across TOMCL’s supply chain operations.

With this approval, TOMCL is now an authorised vendor for all Carrefour UAE retail networks. The move significantly strengthens the company’s presence in the Middle East, marking a major step in its international expansion strategy.

Commenting on the achievement, the TOMCL management stated:

This accomplishment reflects TOMCL’s unwavering commitment to international quality, traceability, and food safety standards. We are proud to represent Pakistan in the global halal meat industry and to become a benchmark for compliance and excellence. We extend our gratitude to the Carrefour (Majid Al-Futtaim – Hypermarket LLC) audit team, and especially to the unwavering support and coordination of the MAF Hypermarkets Pakistan (Private) Limited (Carrefour) team, as well as to our technical and compliance divisions for their tireless efforts.

The development is expected to boost TOMCL’s export volumes, support premium product positioning in high-value retail channels, and deepen its market penetration in the UAE. It also enhances TOMCL’s profile as a reliable supplier of halal meat across major Middle Eastern retail and foodservice markets.
