Chery Pakistan will begin local assembly of vehicles by January 2026 at its 60-acre facility in Port Qasim, Karachi. The $150 million investment includes a nationwide dealership network with 10 outlets planned in seven major cities.
The company will assemble four models from its flagship range: Tiggo Cross, Tiggo 7, Tiggo 8, and Tiggo 9. All models will feature plug-in hybrid electric vehicle technology.
Chery Auto, China’s leading auto export brand, operates in over 120 countries across Europe, South America, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Russia, and Australia. The collaboration strengthens Pakistan’s position in the automotive sector.
Samir Malik, CEO of Master Auto Engineering, said the partnership will create jobs and train over 2,000 workers in advanced NEV technologies. He emphasized the company’s goal to boost Pakistan’s New Energy Vehicle industry.The launch of Chery Pakistan assembly operations marks a major step for the automotive industry.
