Pakistan Petroleum Ltd Gets Conditional Approval for Mineral Exploration License in Balochistan

Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has received conditional approval from the Government of Balochistan for an exploration license (EL-331) to search for precious and base metals, as well as associated minerals, in District Chagai, Balochistan.

According to a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the approval is subject to the fulfillment of all legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements.

The company emphasized that this move is part of its broader strategy to diversify beyond hydrocarbons and ensure long-term business sustainability.

PPL stated that the new license reaffirms its commitment to expanding its footprint in Pakistan’s mineral sector. The finalization of the license will occur once all relevant conditions are met.
